When Should You Withdraw a Workflow?
• You need to revise the proposed dates before submitting
for approval again
• The business requirement changed and the task update is
no longer needed
• Incorrect task details or wrong title/description were
submitted
• You want to change the scope of the change before
seeking approval
Steps to Withdraw a Workflow Request
Step 1 — Navigate — Planner
→ Planner Options → Workflow → Sent Tab
Step 2 — Locate — Find
the pending workflow using the Search bar or Status filter
Step 3 — Click — Click
the trash (Withdraw) icon in the rightmost column
Step 4 — Confirm — Read
the warning dialog and click Withdraw to confirm
Withdrawal is
permanent and cannot be undone. The workflow request is deleted and cannot be
restored. All locked tasks will be immediately unlocked.What Happens After Withdrawal?
• The workflow request is permanently deleted from the
system
• All locked tasks are immediately unlocked and return to
editable state
• Original task values are restored — no changes are
applied
• Approvers and notifiers receive a withdrawal
notification
• You can re-submit a new workflow request after making
corrections
