What Is Another Way To Create Defects (Issues)?
Exciting development! KTern introduces an alternative method for creating defects
For every failed test case in your Test Catalog, create your own Defects and manage them throughout their lifecycle using “Issues”.
Here are the steps to create defects (issues):
Click on the “+” icon.
Choose the "Issue" option from the list of work item options.
In the 'Create New Issue' drawer, fill in the form under three sections as instructed below:
- Overview:
- Issue title: Enter a concise issue title.
- Description: Add a detailed description of the issue.
- Status: Specify the current status.
- Issue Type: Select the issue type.
- Raise to SAP: Decide whether to raise the issue to SAP.
- Issue Source: Indicate the source of the issue.
- Risk Link: Link the issue to any associated risks.
- Parent name: Identify the parent task, if applicable.
- Priority: Set the priority level.
- Stakeholder Information:
- Assigned to: Assign the issue to a responsible individual.
- Participants: Include any relevant participants.
- Planned vs Actual:
- Planned start date: Enter planned start date.
- Planned end date: Enter planned end date.
- Actual start date: Provide actual start date. This information will be automatically filled when the issue transitions to the active state.
- Actual end date: Provide actual end date. This information will be automatically filled when the issue transitions to the resolved state.
- Planned duration (in hrs): Specify planned duration.
- Actual duration (in hrs): Specify actual duration.
- Planned location: Specify planned location.
- Actual location: Specify actual location.
- Planned environment: Specify planned environment.
- Actual environment: Specify actual environment.
