How to Bookmark Favorites and Navigate via Quick Links in KTern?


Overview

Bookmarks in KTern help reduce the time and number of clicks needed to access frequently used pages. They improve efficiency by allowing you to quickly navigate to your preferred pages and project-related links.

Steps to Bookmark Favorites

1. Login and Access Bookmarks

  • Log in to KTern and navigate to the desired project.
  • Upon launching the project, you will land on the Bookmarks page.
  • The Bookmarks page contains two sections:



    • Your Bookmarks: Displays the list of pages you have marked as favorites.
    • Project Bookmarks: Contains default bookmarks for important project pages, visible to all users in the project.

2. Bookmark a Page

  • Navigate to the page you want to bookmark.
  • Locate the star icon at the top-right corner of the page.
  • Click the star icon to open the Bookmark Popup window.

3. Fill in Bookmark Details

  • In the popup window, fill in the following fields:



    1. Name: Enter a name for the bookmark.
    2. Color: Choose a color for the bookmark to help categorize or prioritize it.
    3. Visibility: Select the visibility option:
      • Private: The bookmark will be visible only to you.
      • Public: The bookmark will be visible to all users in the project.
  • The URL of the page will be captured automatically.

4. Save the Bookmark

  • After entering the details, click Submit.
  • The bookmark will be added to the Your Bookmarks section on the Bookmarks page.

5. Access Bookmarked Pages

  • Go to the Bookmarks page to view your saved shortcuts.
  • Click on a bookmark to navigate directly to the corresponding page.
