How does KTern takes care of the Custom Object Analysis?
Introduction
SAP’s standard software cannot cover all the business processes completely. Therefore, to meet the individual requirements of organizations, the standard SAP software is customized or adapted to suit the business needs. The standard SAP software can be enhanced through custom objects. KTern automates the process of SAP custom object analytics, this feature provides the analytical view of the custom objects present in the system. After connecting an ECC system, KTern runs the custom object analytics check and determines the custom objects present in a system. You can gain analytical insights on the following:
- Most relevant Custom packages with respect to the number of objects
- Frequently used custom transactions/reports
- Top x custom object stakeholders
- Top x custom object types
- Top SAP Reference Notes for impacted cases
- Change of existing functionality
Custom Object Analysis
KTern automates the process of SAP custom object analytics, After connecting an ECC system, KTern runs the custom object analytics check and determines the custom objects present in a system.
1. Navigation
Access the KTern's Digital Maps cockpit and select " Custom Object Assessment".
2. Custom Object Analytics
KTern groups the custom object based on :
a) Packages
b) Stakeholders
c) Type of Custom Object
d) Frequency of Usage
2.1 Overview list
The platform shows a list of top 10 the custom objects present in the system.
The Custom Object is listed on the basis of the type , text and the number of objects.
2.2 Insights
To get a deeper and better understanding of the analysis, select the "rocket" action button.
KTern provides the number of:
a) Custom Objects
b) Custom Packages
c) Custom Programs
respectively which are actively present in the ECC system.
The platform provides a graphical representation of Top 5 custom packages with custom program.
2.3 KTern further provides a summarized list of all based on the object types, text and the frequency of usage.
This Custom Object Analysis provides a detailed list of custom object , custom packages, custom transactions and usage frequency
The User can also use this feature to indirectly determine the timeline and effort of an SAP S/4HANA system conversion project.
