Overwriting Existing Data
Pasting data will replace the content of the existing rows but will not add new ones.
Tip: Add rows where needed before pasting to avoid losing important data.
Parent-Child Hierarchy
When you copy a parent row, only that row is copied, not its child rows.
Tip: Ensure you understand the structure of your processes before copying.
Using the Fill Handle
The Fill Handle allows quick data entry, but it won’t work on locked fields.
Tip: Unlock fields before using the Fill Handle for bulk updates.
Restricted Columns
Some columns (e.g., Successors, Predecessors, Baseline Duration) cannot accept pasted data.
Important: These columns will be skipped during pasting.
Column and Data Alignment
Make sure the column headers and data types match between Excel and the Planner Grid.
Tip: Align dropdown values such as Owner and Status to prevent errors.
Date Formatting
Use the format MMM DD, YYYY (e.g., Oct 18, 2024) for date fields.

Handling Errors
If there are errors (e.g., invalid dates or dropdown values), you’ll see an alert. You can skip the problematic cells.
