Setting up a Buildspace provides a strong foundation for clean core SAP development, ensuring your project stays on track from ideation to deployment.

Steps to Create a New Buildspace

1. Click on "Create a New Buildspace"
   

• Begin by selecting the "Create a New Buildspace" button from the main dashboard. This will open a setup form where you can configure the essential details for your project.

2. Provide a Name
   

• Enter a unique and descriptive name for your Buildspace. This name should reflect the purpose or focus of the project, making it easy to identify in your dashboard.

3. Add a Description
   

• Provide a brief description that outlines the goals and objectives of the Buildspace. This description will help you and your team understand the project context at a glance.

4. Enter GitHub Repository Name
   

• Specify the name of the repository where your source code will be stored. CodeGenie will integrate with your Git provider (GitHub) to set up a centralized version control environment, ensuring smooth collaboration and resource management.

5. Review the Details
   

• Before proceeding, carefully review the information you’ve entered to ensure accuracy. Double-check the Buildspace name, description, and repository details.

6. Click Submit
   

• Once you are satisfied with the provided details, click the Submit button to finalize the setup. CodeGenie will automatically create the Buildspace and establish the linked source control repository.
  

What Happens Next?

• After submitting, CodeGenie will instantly establish a centralized source control repository, which integrates seamlessly with your Buildspace. This makes it easier to manage code, track changes, and collaborate with team members throughout the project lifecycle.

• The newly created Buildspace will now be visible in the CodeGenie Lounge, where you can view all related project assets, track iterations, and monitor the status of ongoing development.
